Annie Horniman 1860 – 1937

Annie Horniman was celebrated on Day 10 of the cycle ride, Sunday, 14th June 2015- Skipton to Richmond taking in part of the 2014 Tour De France route through the Yorkshire Dales.

Much more can be read about Annie Horniman on Wikipedia but it is a nice coincidence that this day’s cycling took in part of  the TdF route as she herself enjoyed cycling on the continent – behaviour which apparently scandalised Edwardian England.
