Christabel Pankhurst 1880 – 1958

Christabel Pankhurst was celebrated on Day 12 of the cycle ride, Newcastle to Jedburgh, on Tuesday, 16th June 2015. Here crossing into Scotland at Carter Bar on what otherwise was one of the least enjoyable days of the ride.

Christabel was a leading suffragist and Women’s Party candidate in the 1918 General Election. Wikipedia has a lot more information about her.
